Mood: It's been raining lots. I'm happy ^^
As all of you might or might NOT be aware of right now. I'm form 4 this year.
At first, my thoughts were NO BIG DEAL. I'll still be the same me.
I still think so... (except when I heard abt BM format. 350 words!! Owh well, I'll learn)
After a diagnostic test, we got streamed into our new classes. As my school's a all-science stream school, I don't think it made much of a difference whether you're in first class or not.
I got into 4SA together with Chew Yee, Adele, Ann Bee, Wen Jun, Hisyam, Faqar and Zulhilmi.
Sabrina's in 4SB with Priya and Nad.
Gaaya somehow ended up in 4SC together with Sam and Manda.
I was really dissapointed at first that we were sorta seperated, but at least I know most of the students in my class. The teachers at first were kinda crappy because they gave us practical teachers. The Add Maths teacher didn't know what he was talking about and couldn't do sums well. But later on, we had very good teachers who made all subjects fun and interesting.
ENGLISH teacher makes you write essays whenever you forget your homework
PHYSICS teacher likes to teach a bit fast and let you 'kejar hantu'
ADD MATHS teacher is clear and precise.
HISTORY teacher makes history HIS-STORY.
BIOLOGY teacher makes you sing if you didn't finish your work,
BM teacher is kind and considerate (likes us to go slow)
and last, but not least,
MORAL teacher always has a story to tell us and makes it so much easier.
CONCLUSION : F4's kinda fun.
We had this PHYSICS QUIZ and it was sooo fun!! We divided into 6 groups with 5 members each and the marks we earn from the quiz would contribute a 10% in out February test. She used a powerpoint, each group chooses a number and answer the question. Most marks win. Faqar was the 'pencatat'. Among the questions, suddenly came : Who is the most handsome in your class? And we were like, "Teacher, apa kaitan ni dengan fizik?" Most votes go to Faqar, second to Hisyam and last, Zulhilmi. Haha... And the bonus question was, "Who's the prettiest in your class?" Lastly, my group won with a lead of 2 marks. (14 marks total) It was interesting, really.
For ENGLISH, we had to do speech craft every lesson. 3 chosen people will have to go and pick a tittle from the box provided and talk about it for one minute. If only impromptu was this easy! The tittle I got was, "My life 50 years from now." I crapped A LOT.
And it just happens that we totally forgot about our BIOLOGY pembentangan. Luckily, teacher let us use the board and I explained it orally on the spot. I just said whatever crossed my mind. And thank goodness, teacher said it was good. My group didn't have to get punished after all. Phew!
Anyway, this year, I've made a resolution to try and enter more activities in the St john / Sports section. And I'm sure many of you out there think that I'm no sport-person... but I can try can't I? Also, I'm supposed to cut down on society-based activities... I think public speaking, debate, scrabble, kuiz sejarah and kuiz ASEAN should be enuff.
Unfortunately, the second resolution wasn't fulfilled. I got myself into the Toyota Ecoyouth project and I can't withdraw. Oh well. At the same time, drama and choir's open. So my final list: drama, debate, public speaking, kuiz ASEAN, kuiz sejarah, kuiz perdana and scrabble.
But my first resolution made it. Halfway, at least.
I got chosen for 100m and 4X100m.
Never knew I had it in me.
All I was focusing on was chasing Gaaya, who happens to be the fastest runner and oops! I ended up 3rd place and was shortlisted for 100m and 4X100m. Tryouts for 200m and 400m's next week, wish me luck!
Today, during PJ i had tons of fun playing softball.
First, we practiced batting the balls and my balls actually flew and hit the roof of the surau! (kinda proud... haha =P)
Then, we used the harder ball and practiced throwing. I'm so much better at catching balls now, but my back is aching. Maybe next time have to really warm up.
Owh and I still have to go to school tomorrow for Softball practice (7.30am) and continues with ST John footdrill practice till 11am. All for the sake of State Com. Wish me luck!
