.:: PMR ReSuLT ::.

My PMR Results: 7A's

God I was so freaked out when they announced Priya's name because I thought after the letter 'P' there definitely wasn't a possibility that 'L' would come after that...

However, I forgot something very important.
Priya's a KT student and therefore, her name would be classified with the guys (who all take KT for KH and are always on top of the name list)

So, my name was announced after all... Thank God! Arigatou Kami-sama!

.:: The GOLDEN Compass - a movie you should really watch at The GOLDEN Screen Cinema ::.

When asked, "Want a stuffed polar bear?"
MY ANSWER:

Of course I want one! Who doesn't?!
Bear, bear, are you there?
You are THE ONE THING I definitely won't share,
Bear, bear, where art thou'?

You are on my MUST-HAVE list now

THE GOLDEN COMPASS

WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT THIS MOVIE?
Well, here's a little piece of my mind with a few pictures I got from browsing the web.

The Golden Compass holds a big significance to me because it was aired in Malaysia on MY BIRTHDAY. One point there.

Anyway, I'm not going to summarise the movie and accidentally give spoilers, but take my word for it, it's definitely worth watching.

Lyra Belacqua (above)

Lyra Belacqua's your main character in this show. Her DAEMON (pronounced demon) is Pantalaimon. In their world, everyone has a daemon, which is actually their souls. One cannot be separated very far from their daemons. (A small exception to witches, though) What your daemon feels, you feel and the same thing the other way round. The golden compass refers to a device they created, also known as the alethiometer. This device allows you to find out the truth, but only one will be able to read it. The Magisterium (alike the Ministry of Magic in Harry Potter) feared the power of Dust (some magical unexplained phenomena that flows through you from your daemon and at the same time connects universes together) and destroyed all the alethiometers, except for one.

(An alethiometer)

Lyra manages to get an alethiometer, a gift from the Jordan college to her. It appears like your normal compass, golden in color, but with three arrows and a lot of small pictures at the sides. Only Lyra is able to read it.

What I like most about this movie is the DAEMONS. You just feel like getting a pet afer watching this movie. My two favourite daemons are Pantalaimon (Lyra's daemon, Pan for short) and Stelmaria,Lord Asriel's (Lyra's uncle) daemon, in the shape of a snow leopard. Daemon will be able to change forms at first before they finally decide on a form, which symbolises the change of the child to an adult-to-be. I've always been a great fan of big felines, and Stelmaria is no exception. Pan's voice is unsurprisingly cute.

(Serafina Pekkala & Lee Scoresby)

(Iorek Byrnison & Lyra Belacqua)

Also, Serafina Pekkala, leader of the witches caught my attention. She has got to be the prettiest lady I have ever seen. She is a graceful and elegant leader and often has a smile on her face, giving you this warm feeling. Lee Scoresby also captures attention with his impresive accuracy. His hare / rabbit daemon is also adorable. Iorek Byrnison, an armoured bear (also a polar bear) is also undeniably ADORABLE. He has such a briliant name and I love pronouncing it. He fights well and is very dependable. I MOST DEFINITELY WANT a polar bear!!

Owh and did I mention that deaths in this movie are really cool? (Nope, I'm not insane) It's just that when the human dies, their daemons burst into dust, making it look cool and beautiful at the same time.

In a nutshell, Philip Pullman has given me the BEST birthday present ever and I hope that I can receive the next two movies for my future birthdays! Don't fret, or you will regret. You just HAVE TO watch The Golden Compass, cause its great!

.:: aTaSHi uMaReTa No Hi ::.

Mood: As long as it rains, I have nothing to complain about. Overjoyed that monsoon season is here.
Post tittle's translation? The Day I Was Born.
Anyway, as some of you might have guessed, or known, my birthday was two days ago. At midnight, lots of people wished me and I am thankful for that. It's good to know someone cares ^^ Thanks everyone!
A week before my birthday, my brother came back from KL and took us out. Me, my younger sis and younger bro went out to watch two movies. First was BEE MOVIE and then ENCHANTED. I loved ENCHANTED! It was so FUNNY, especially when she sings, "How does she know?" in the park. Hilarious. We also went to the beach! Yay! I love the sea! It's so... mystically beautiful. And the songs the waves makes just reaches your heart, you know? It's so full with emotion, its pleasing to listen to.
After he went back the next day, (well, he's a busy person, can't blame him) I suddenly got inspiration to write a story. Yes, I take a long time before finishing one and I come up with a lot of unfinished ones. Just thought I ought to write it down before I forget. Well, most of my stories come from real scenes that I have gone through in my dreams, which I can remember clearly, but since it's a pity if I forget them, I'd best write them out immediately. This time, the tittle of my story's "Wings ; The First Feather".
The summary of the story, well, I haven't completed it yet, so let's just keep that in store for the future. Once again, I thank God for giving me wonderful dreams that inspire me.
On my birthday, me, my sis and some friends went out for breakfast. Then, we walked across the street to buy tickets for the movie: GOLDEN COMPASS. I have been waiting since Rattatouile came out to watch this movie when I saw this lovely corner dedicated to it in Midvalley. Unfortunately, the first book is no longer for sale, not here, at the very least, but I strongly recommend all of you to watch it. Serafina Pekkala is so beautiful! And I love Lyra's daemon, Pantalaimon. I want a daemon of my own!
NOTE: Daemon is pronounced as 'demon'
And when we were on the way to go into the cinema, guess who we saw? Gaaya was telling me that the girls in front of us looked familiar and when I looked, it was actually Syahrul and his two gfs. Well, no real necessity to comment about it. Anyway, after that movie I had to rush straight to ballet class. It's not like I hate ballet, but 8 years under a teacher that scolds you for almost every reason in the world kinda makes you dislike it.
The next day, when Mum came back from KL, we went out to eat Teppanyaki. It was delicious¬!!! Me and Pink were free to go anime browsing in the mall. Owh, and I finished watching Kaze No Stigma. Kazuma is so COOL!! I love the wind!
And Yakitate Ja-pan (69 episodes) I had finished watching earlier is one of the funniest anime I have seen. I recommend it as well. Pierrot Bolneze is one of the coolest pierrots on earth!
NOTE: Pierrot means 'clown' in Japanese.
I especially love it when he repeats the fact that he is a "SEKAI-LEVEL PIERROT" (Word level clown) Just plain amazing. And Kuroyanagi's reaction's are beyond imagination. Kanmuri Shigeru, a genius much like Ryuu Amakusa (Tantei Gakuen Q) has captured my heart.
Well, to conclude, it was a great birthday. Thanks everyone!! ^^
